How To Develope Positive Self-Talk And Improve Your Personal Abilities

If you want to know how to use positive self talk skills to make your life better, you will want to read this article.

Self talks are internal dialogues we use to communicate with ourselves, they can influence our inner voices and perceptions. Inner voices can be both good and bad.

The bad inner voice is when the voice is telling you to do something that is wrong and you know it’s wrong but the voice in your mind is telling you that it’s ok. If you find that your inner voices tend to skew toward the negative side, you will need to figure out how to revert them to the positive side.

The bad inner voices are the bad negative thoughts that you might have, the good inner voices, on the other hand, are the positive things that you hear in your head. Listen to these inner voices carefully. The positive voices will encourage you to think, behave and do what is right. The results usually consist of some positive accomplishments in your interpersonal and personal abilities.

When you are able to differentiate voices that guide or misguide your path, you have developed a self-awareness that enables you to think, focus, behave and act in positive ways that will tend to produce positive results as well. Self-awareness is a very powerful self-development tool that you need to accomplish any goal that you may have set out to achieve in your life.

Here are some tips you can use to start developing positive self-talks that will influence your inner voices in a positive way:

  • Use the how question in your self-limiting statements. Self-limiting statements like “I can’t do that!” or “That’s not possible!” are very self damaging. These kind of statements encourage you to give up before even trying. You can easily change these negative statements into positive ones by using the following questions. “How can I do that?” or “How is that possible?”. By asking a simple question, you’re allowing your mind to open up to new possibilities.
  • Stop your negative thoughts. As you notice your mind starting a negative thought… Stop it right away! You can tell yourself that “This is not me!”. Catching and stopping negative thoughts as they occur is a very good habit, if you do that enough times, you will bring more positive thinking and positive energy into your life without you realizing it.

Just try to put the above tips into practice in your daily activity and I’m sure you will find yourself to be more positive and happy in life.

Tips On How To Develop Self-Confidence And Overcome Self-Doubt

Do you feel that low self-confidence is always holding you back in life? Are you feeling that your mind is cluttered by self-doubts that always stop you from taking action?

If you answer yes to the above questions, you have come to the right place. This article will provide some easy tips you can use to quickly boost your confidence.

How to overcome self-doubt and boost self-confidence?

Self-doubt is essentially limiting belief or negative thought or blockage that serves to obstruct you from achieving your goals. Therefore, the first step in developing self-confidence is to overcome your self-doubt.

So, how do you remove limiting belief? Understand that limiting belief is basically a repetitive thought that you think over and over again that perpetuates your self-doubt. In order to remove it, you need to change your thought. This is not too difficult to do. Let me show you how.

For example, a limiting belief statement may sound like this… “I want to build a home business in my spare time but I can’t because I don’t have the time due to my busy day job.”  Now, this is a negative thought that you’ve been thinking over and over again and hence perpetuates your belief.

You can change it to this statement… “Right NOW there are thousands of people around the world who are earning extra income of $1,000 or more a month doing home business in their spare time while still holding on their busy day job.”

See the difference? This immediately removes self-doubt and gives your self-confidence a chance to emerge. When you fill your mind with positive thought, it immediately focuses on the possibility instead of resistance. In other words, instead of trying to find reasons why you can’t do this or that, you’re now assessing the possibility of building a second income stream in your spare time.

Practice positive self-talk.

Same amount of energy is needed for positive and negative self-talk. So please always remember to use the positive one! This is very beneficial and easy to do as well. Feeding your mind with positive self talk will bring about more positive energy into your life.

One popular technique is to use positive affirmation. It’s a great technique to reprogram your unconscious mind from negative thinking to positive. The idea is to replace negative statements with positive ones as I described with an example above. Other effective ways for fostering positive self talk are by reading a good inspirational or self help books; and associate with positive people.

Make it a habit to follow the above tips as often as possible and pretty soon you will be able to develop a self-perpetuating confidence.

Building Your Self Esteem And Confidence – Key to Self Improvement Success

Self esteem and self confidence are said to be the pillars of self development, how do you build a strong self esteem and how to avoid getting your self esteem destroyed by others? This article provides some great tips to answer that question.

In self improvement, we talk a lot about self esteem, the ability to stay calm, composed and confident when facing tough challenges. Basically, self esteem is the pillars that support your self improvement and development. So, if you view self improvement as a table, self esteem is the table’s legs. They got to be strong to support the table.

If we have a low self esteem, our confidence will tumble and we won’t be able to face daily challenges. Our self esteem is like a dash board, and hence a dart pin can land on it any time without a warning. If we’ve low self esteem, a small dart pin can just destroy our entire self confidence. That’s why building a strong self esteem is critical to your self development.

Following are some tips you may find useful in helping you to harness your self esteem.

1. Learn to interact with positive people. Do not shy away from people, learn how to socialize and interact with people. Overcome your shyness, we only live once in this world, so there is nothing to be ashamed of. The more you socialize and interact with people around you, the more comfortable you will become, and your self esteem will build up slowly.

2. Avoid negative work environment. Stay away from a work environment that promotes unhealthy competition, a dog-eats-dog and back-stabbing work culture where everybody is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. Your self esteem will be destroyed when no one appreciate your efforts and contributions. If you feel that the company you’re working right now has such environment, look for a new job and get out from there as soon as you can.

3. Acknowledge your past mistakes and learn from the experiences. It’s okay to cry when we experience pain. But don’t let pain transform itself into FEAR. There is a time to cry from your misfortune and there is a time to recover. Do not dwell on your problems, learn from it, shake it off and move on. If you dwell on a problem for too long, it might grab you by the tail, swing you around and totally destroy your self esteem. Don’t let that happens to you. Treat each failure and mistake as a lesson.

4. Avoid negative view and be optimistic. Always try to see the positive part of any problem first. Wish for the best things in life and believe that every challenge or problem you experience is for the benefit of you to improve. Don’t wrap yourself up with all the negativities of the world. In building self esteem, we must learn how to make the best out of worst situations.

5. Think positively. Always think about the good qualities and abilities in you. Focus on your strengths instead of weaknesses. Everything starts from your mind, if you think you can then you can and vice versa. Make positive thinking becomes your second habit and your self esteem will build up in no time.

6. Do not worry about the future or things that haven’t occurred. Just strive to do your best and do the right things today and tomorrow will take care of itself.

7. If you have a problem, do not avoid or pretend that it doesn’t exist. Face your problem and deal with it. Get help from family members or closed friends if necessary. Share with them openly about the problem you’re facing and ask for help. You will be amazed that people are generally willing to help, sometimes all you need to do is just ASK. Families and friends can help boost your self esteem and motivate you to face your problem.

When we develop self esteem, we take control of our life mission, values and discipline. Self esteem brings about self improvement and self development, positive attitude, and self determination.
