Is Entrepreneurship Born or Bred?

Some people believe that entrepreneurship is born, it's all in the genes, either you have it or you don't. Some of the important traits that all entrepreneurs have in common are ability to take risks, ability to see opportunities in a crisis and ability to persevere in the face of difficulty.

I believe the seed and spirit of entrepreneurship are in all of us. However, they need to be nurtured and cultivated in order to manifest into the traits and characteristics that all entrepreneurs possess.

There is strong evidence that genes are not the only factor that shape entrepreneurs. For example, even within the same family, not all brothers and sisters will grow up to become entrepreneurs. Perhaps only one child will become entrepreneur.

So entrepreneurs are not born, they are actually raised and bred.
