There are many books which speak about the law of attraction and how it works. Although a great many of these books explain this law through different perspectives, one common denominator which pervades all the books I have read about the law of attraction is that one must try to 'feel'. Feelings are the most important tools we have in order to effectively apply the law of attraction. We summon the law of attraction to attract for us that which we desire if our feelings about the object and about our life in general, are good and positive feelings.
Many books dealing with the law of attraction underline the importance of summoning good feelings. Now, it is quite difficult to achieve this state of being if you are depressed or extremely anxious. In such a case it is no use trying to feel good because you are too far away from it. It is suggested that trying to feel slightly better every step of the way is the key to getting closer to the feeling good state. In other words, one must always try and improve the way one feels - one must move from a negative feeling to a less negative feeling until one starts to touch the boundaries of feeling good.
Sometimes it is difficult to understand what one is feeling. People say 'I don't really know what I am feeling at the moment,' or 'I am feeling numbe'. In such a situation it is good to find a quiet place and ask yourself questions like 'What am I truly feeling?', 'What has happened today that has confused me about the way that I feel?' Many times, not knowing what one is feeling is an indication that the feelings are not so positive. However, sometimes when one is harmonious with oneself, one may feel a feeling of neutrality. In such a case, it would be a good idea to think of positive thoughts to elate your feelings slightly further.
A common exercise recommended for making yourself feel better is to set aside 15 to 20 minutes daily for visualisation. During a visualisation session one should start picturing what he desires. He should see himself as the protagonist of this 'film' and should also feel the wonderful feelings that this desire would emanate had it been real.
To conclude, the essence for effective manifestation of one's desire is to feel good throughout the day and not just vis-a-vis one's objects of desire. (In another article I will be amplifying further on the concept of feeling good, and on the concept of detachment as a tool to effective manifestation).
