Stimulate Your Brain And Expand Your Mind
Feeling bored with the old same routines everyday? Want to kick some old routines? Then try something new to help your brain thrive.
Scientists have discovered that if we seek out new experiences throughout our life, the brain will keep growing and producing new brain cells (neurons). It’s just like exercises, if we’re doing exercises regularly, our body will benefit. So if we stimulate our brain regularly for new experiences, our mind will expand.
Although as we grow older, we learn new things more slowly but our brain capacity is unchanged as we age. You can stimulate your brain without needing to do anything dramatic. A little change in our daily routines (such as rearranging your furniture) can benefit your brain and literally expand your mind.
There are many activities you can do to beat the old routines. Here are some examples:
- Talk to someone outside your normal social circle
- Visit a new place that you’ve never visited before
- Learn to cook a new recipe
- Take a different route when you do your usual running or biking
- Take up a basic yoga class
- Learn something new. For example hydroponics (or growing plants without soil).
I am sure you can think of many things you can do to kick the old routines in your life. If you constanly seek out new experiences, you will be amazed at how all this newfound knowledge can enrich and expand your mind.
