Is your life getting more hectic by the days? Do you always seem running around fire fighting? Do you feel that you blow your top easily? Do you always feel moody? Do you find that you become tired easily? Many people feel so stressed out these days that they can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
These are the symptoms of lack of clear goal and direction in your life. Sometimes we would like to think that we could do it all by ourselves, but the fact of the matter is that we can’t. We tend to take on unnecessary burdens and often forgo simple pleasures, we have forgotten how to stop thinking and lose ourselves. All these can lead to poor health, stress and unhappiness.
It’s time to sit down, clear up the clutters and get some sort of balance back into our lives.
The first step in getting back a balanced life is to let go some of the things that you’re clinging on. Then, focus your energy on yourself; your needs and things that are really important to you. I’m not asking you to be a selfish person, but rather giving yourself some time and space to recharge and revitalize yourself.
Begin by practicing basic meditation, it’s easy to do and it only takes you 15 to 20 minutes a day. Simple ordinary indulgence like going for a massage, manicure, buying a new outfit, watching a movie, a day out with best friends, etc.. can go a long way in helping you to get back a balanced life.
You’ve the right to protect your space from any intruder who intend to invade your boundaries. The boundaries are your values and principles in life. You must be crystal clear with your own boundaries so that you can caution others who are trying to cross them. When your boundaries are clear, you don’t have to spend time and energy defending them all the time. If someone is rude and try to break them, you will know exstcly how to respond decisively.
Live your life values and walk your talk. Your life values are the most important elements in your life. Without them, you won’t be able to have a balanced life. Some examples of life values are freedom, peace, happiness and spirituality. Defining and living your life values is key to uncover how to live a balanced life.
Have a dream and live your life with integrity and honesty. Love yourself; look in the mirror every morning and acknowledge the unique person you are. Empower yourself to accomplish your dream in life. Conduct yourself with dignity and honor.
Finally, take charge of your life; nurture it, reward it; and the balance within will reveal itself through the smile on your face, and the gleam in your eyes.
