7 Time Saving Tips For Organizing Your Life

-->

In the fast paced world we’re living in today, finding time to stop and smell the roses can be very difficult. More and more people are feeling that they live in utter chaos, overworked, tired and fed up with their lives.

Unfortunately, this is where our world is today and likely to get more hectic in the future. We either keep complaining that we’re running out of time and stressed out or learn to organize our life.

Here are 7 time saving tips to help you organize your life:

1. Take care of one thing at a time. Whatever you find out of place put them back in their place. Don’t think that you will do it all at once later on because it will never get done. Do it now! Practice this both at home and in office.

2. Set achievable goals. Make a plan to do only certain chores each day so that an entire day isn’t taken up by trying to do it all. For example, set the goal of cleaning off your computer desk one day. That’s a task that may take only ten minutes. That’s a whole lot more manageable than resolving to clean your entire house in an afternoon!

3. Make a to-do list. Write down all those important tasks that need to get done. Refer to your list throughout the day. This will keep you focused on the important things and avoid wandering around wasting your time.

4. Go through your closet and find clothes or things you don’t use or wear anymore. Sell them in a garage sale or donate them to a charity. Invest in some functional storage containers. Fill them as needed and when convenient. Before you know it, your closet will be cleaned out!

5. Make a place for everything so that everything has its own place. Use a spice rack for the spices/ingredients in the kitchen. Use shoe rack for the shoes. Hang stuffed animal hammocks in the kids’ bedrooms, etc.

6. Make the entire family responsible. Give everyone in the house responsibilities so that things can become organized and stay that way. Put up a chart on the refrigerator or on a wall that outlines the weekly responsibilities and who’s supposed to do each chore. It’s not your responsibility to clean your child’s room, make sure they take ownership of their own tasks.

7. Make a game out of it. Tell the kids if they help that you can have a special pizza night. Present them with a reward and they’ll work hard, saving you time and getting your home organized quickly.

The importance of organization cannot be underestimated because it carries over into other aspects of your life. Without it, it’s hard to see clearly what’s going on around you.

When your life is organized, your mind is not cluttered up with a lot of things, you’ll be able to think more clearly and provide better solution. You can also feel better about yourself and your environment. Plus, you’ll be able to find more time to do things you actually enjoy.
